A Bathroom Soaking in Style

One of the top to-do items for the new owner of a town house in Boston's historic Louisberg Square district was the master bath. A previous occupant’s remodel failed in its attempt to mimic the home’s early-1800s architecture.

Enter E. J. Krupinsky, design director of Lee Kimball, a Boston-based design/build firm specializing in renovating vintage properties.

He recalls that when his client said she wanted "a meditative environment— soothing and uplifting," he focused his redesign on opening up the space and adding diffused light.
