An Inviting Office
This home office feels less utilitarian than a typical work space and more like an inviting sitting room, thanks to concealed storage — a closet fitted top to bottom with shelves, a cabinet that holds files — and a bevy of ultra-pretty yet practical organizers, from patterned metal bins to woven baskets to eye-pleasing folders.
The Dunloe wallpaper from Osborne & Little provided all the color cues for the room, and it mixes easily with the Dash & Albert Cameo Roses hooked rug and striped Silk Trading curtains. Pink bouclé slipcovers help red leather stools blend in with the palette. Woven wooden shades are from the Shade Store.
"Before" Office
"I wasn't sure what to do with this room," says the owner of this Westchester, N.Y., home. "We wanted a guest room, but I was also in need of a home office." With thoughtful organizational strategies that allowed her to maximize every inch of this 12- by 13-foot space, she was able to have both.
Gilded Bulletin Board
